Angola (in english)

Well, this has been a little while since I did a post in english, I'm sorry for those who aren't reading Molière "dans le texte", and that is for them. As tou know I've been working around West Africa for some time and the philosophy of the place has been quite revealed to me, for most parts. We all know of the oral tradition, hence the respect to the old, that sometimes comes to such ends that they really enslave the youngster to please the older (older now can be from 30 onward, enslving a teenager). We can see here a lot of this, and these people are tied to this philosophy quite a lot. But in Africa now old people are like in Europe, very common, and with this goes the fact that they are not that knowledgable... well you all know how it is. But still, it is not somethimg I appreciate, wether you are old or young, you cannot or bend rules or creating them as it pleases. I have been amazed here by behaviours, things that in Europe you wont do, but that an open door. Congo and Angola are not that similar, the people are physically, but in the essece it's not quite the same. 17 years of civil war in Angola brought a sense of chaos in people's mind, as long as a willing to survive. So you can say that there are more ressources now in Angola than in Congo. But also this country has been touched by the Che Guevara in person, staying and preaching values of communism for sometime. He also went to Congo but never found the same interest in people's mind. Well, congolese are not fighters, and he figured out soon enough, and left for Angola. The country understood very fast the interest of petroleum and also that fighting is the way to get your rights. So here petroleum companies do not rule that much, and that is a major difference with Congo. Another one is that Angola produces 1.5 million barrels of oil per day (250k for Congo), and today it is being a world player. So Angola is respected, not Congo (see previous posts). And Angola makes it feel to the companies every day, giving trouble with visas, having expats in jail for a bad looking car (and that's the joke: it always happens before Xmas). So really 200kms away one from another, Pointe Noire and Soyo are quite similar geographically, and environmentally, but for the rest you have 2 really different countries.

La "realpolitik"

ça me fait penser à banlieue 13 ou un autre groupe de rap, une volonté de faire jeune, un brin anarchiste, "je fais qu'est-ce que j'veux...". Les jeunes UMPistes sont content, ils ont l'impressions d'être des hells angels avec un cerveaux. Mais bon, rien n'est neuf, la seule nouveauté serait qu'il fait par devant ce que les autres faisaient par derrière. Mittérand avait Mobutu? j'aurais Khadafi. Les intellectuels s'offusquent, sont triste, jusqu'à Rachida Dati ne voulant pas que la France soit un paillasson, mais comment as-t-on eu d'aussi beaux équidés à l'écurie de la présidence sous VGE si ce n'est pas par un Sheikh autocrate magnat du pétrole traitant les femmes de son royaune comme on ne veux même pas traiter nos propres chevaux? Tout a déjà été inventé en politique, et encore plus en politique française, même les complainte , et ce qui est amusant c'est que tant de personnes le savent, mais continuent de s'offusquer. La nouveauté de Sarkozy serait de prendre des modérés de gauche pour populer sont gouvernement, histoire de paralyser l'opposition et de faire eclater une scission qui était imminente. Maintenant élevons un peu la taille des portes ouvertes que l'on va enfoncer, et l'on se dit que que nous ne sommes que dans un monde de paraitre et que pour avoir une légitimité quand on a pas le pouvoir ce n'est qu'en rebachant des vieilles formules déjà trouvées et seulement paraphraser un peu pour paraitre neuf. Nous avions besoins de vent nouveau au gouvernement, d'une cassure avec le "Gaullisme" version 90's, et nous l'avons eu, nous voulions un groupe différent, dynamique, et nous l'avons, maintenant les options et voies prises peuvent choquer mais c'est le prix du dynamisme.
